ABOUT THE ARTIST
Michael Vaughan is an artist in his 70s working from his house and studio in Hampshire. Mainly using oil paints on canvas, card and craft paper. Influenced by art of earlier more primitive civilisations, plus some Modernist artists particularly Picasso and Miro. Vaughan’s work is in many ways naïve and child-like, but also displays a deep emotional attachment to mysticism, lyricism and the world of dreams, music and poetry.
